Easy Rider trip from Hue to Danang

I checked out of the room and went to meet the motorbike guy for my easy rider trip to Danang. An Easy Rider is where a guy on a motorbike takes you to your destination and shows you some sights on the way.

When he arrived he had a very small moped. I made him take me back to the travel agents to get a proper motorbike as I didn't want to go all the way to Danang on a moped!
Going on the back of a motor bike was a great experience and a great way to see the beautiful Vietnamese countryside.

The first stop was the fishing village.

I was then taken to the waterfall. We had to go along a dirt road for a bit to get to the waterfall. It was pretty nice and I went swimming there. I met some Aussies there who were doing the same thing.

We stopped for lunch a bit further down the road at a very nice little restaurant with a great view of the river.

Next stop was the beach. It was nice, but not as nice as the beach in Danang, and had a lot of things washed up from the sea on the shore.

To get to Danang we went along the Hai Van pass, which is said to be one of the most beautiful roads in Vietnam. It goes right up through the mountains so you get a great view of the sea and the mountains.

The final stop was an American bunker at the top of the Hai Van pass. The bunker itself was just in ruins and there wasn't much to see, but the view was incredible! You could see the road twisting round the mountains, the sea and the mountains.

When we got to Danang,  I had 9 hours until my train left at 10.30. I was pretty tired from the day, so got lunch and wondered back to the hostel I'd stayed in before and they said I could keep my bag there and chill there for a while. I got dinner with some people from the hostel and headed to my train.
