I got the bus from Dalat to Nha Trang, and as soon as I arrived there I felt like I'd left Vietnam! Everyone I'd met had mentioned that Nha Trang is full of Russians but I didn't realise the extent of it. It reminded me of one of theses places in Spain- like Benidorm - that have been completed ruined by English tourists- expect with Russians instead of English people!
I checked into a backpackers hostel to find I was the only person in a 14 person dorm room which was really weird! I was with Michelle from NZ who was catching a bus that day, so we decided to go check out the beach. It was quite entertaining to watch all the tourists!

All the holiday resorts on the beach
After Michelle had left, I headed out to get some dinner and managed to bump into the Belgium couple from Dalat! I headed back to the hostel after dinner to find that they were blasting music, full volume to the empty bar under my dorm room. I tried to Skype my friend using the really dodgy wifi, and having barely any luck, I went and got a drink down the road to use their wifi which turned out to be even worse. Eventually I gave up and had a much needed early night.
The next day I checked out and went to book my train to Hoi An. At the station they said they did not have any trains so after a bit of confusion I went to book a bus.
The taxi driver dropped me really far up my road, which turned out to be as really long one. I was walking for ages in the wrong direction before I realised that a sign I had seen across the beach the day before, was from the wrong angle and I must be way up the beach.
I turned round and must have been walking for about an hour before I made it back to my street. It was interesting to see where all the locals hang out- way up the beach- as everywhere before had just seemed full of tourists!
Some random building which was one of my landmarks back
I eventually managed to book a bus for that evening and after grabbing some dinner, I caught the night bus to Hoi An. The sleeper bus- took 11 and a half hours- was actually pretty nice and I slept quite well.
