Sand Dunes/ bus to Dalat

I managed to have my first lie in of my trip and got up at 10- which was awesome! Still feeling pretty tired, I headed to the hostel up the road to get breakfast.
I'd met a girl from New Zealand on the Mekong trip, who was also in Mui Ne. We both wanted to check out the sanddunes so we booked onto a sanddunes tour at our hostel.

We had to get in the back of a jeep which was an interesting way to travel. There were 2 girls from Denmark, a guy from Switizland and 2 girls from Israel also on the trip. They took us first to the fairy stream which I had seen the day before. Everyone was confused as to why I was going again, but I hadn't realised this was part of the trip. But I got to enjoy the smallest waterfall in the world again so it was all good!

After that we headed to the fishing village. They had these round boats that they use to fish. We wanted to go out in one but they wouldn't let us!

Next stop was the White sand dunes. We had the option of going round in quad bikes but we all decided to walk. It was pretty cool at the top- you could see all the dunes, and a lake as well. We spent a bit of time trying to get the perfect jumping picture!

We headed to the red sand dunes for sunset. Was really nice to relax and watch the sun go down. Some kids were trying to get us to buy a go on a sand board. You have to sit on this rectangular sheet of plastic and slide down. The kids took us to one of the higher sand dunes to do it. I was surprised but how much fun it was.

After that we all headed back to the hostel to wash all the sand off us. I kept finding sand in my ears all evening.
We all met up for dinner and went to a seafood restaurant. I ordered a snapper fish! I thought I was being exotic as had never heard of this, though I think the rest of the world has! It came as a whole fish, with its head as well, which was weird to eat!

The next day we had a 6.30 (yep, was too early!) bus to Dalat. The journey was so bumpy. There were so many pot holes- some a couple meters long! Dalat is right up in the mountains so there were many winding roads, with potholes, up hill, on a bus with limited aircon!

For dinner we were recommended a restaurant by the people who run our hostel. I was expecting a nice local place so was disappointed to find a very touristy restaurant. I tried a 'Vietnamese cake' though which we were given after dinner. I was expecting something sweet, however it was shrimp wrapped in some slimy doughy thing! Can't say I was a fan!

I'm headed to Nha Trang tomorrow- not sure what to expect as I've heard lots of bad things but there's a nice beach there.
